Echography is a non-invasive and painless method of study. It is performed by an apparatus called an echograph (in patients' circles it is better known as videon or ultrasound). Thanks to it, it is possible to visualize the internal genital organs such as uterus, uterine tubules and ovaries. Ultrasound examination makes it possible to diagnose a number of pathological conditions affecting female genitalia. In addition to the diagnosis of pathological conditions, ultrasound examination is used in the detection of a number of physiological processes such as: follicular growth tracking, ovulation, yellow body formation.
